During Disney's Investor Day, it was confirmed that Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi remains hard at work developing a new Star Wars movie. However, while we're seemingly going to be waiting a while for that one, it's been revealed that Wonder Woman 1984 director Patty Jenkins' next project will be a Rogue Squadron movie!
Set to be released in 2023, plot details obviously haven't been revealed yet, but we do have this:
The title alone tells us a lot about what to expect from this, as does Jenkins' teaser video, and we now know why the filmmaker has played coy about Wonder Woman 3 being her next project.
We also have a look at the other Star Wars projects coming to Disney+. Details are few and far between, and the Tweets below tell you all we really know right now. Whether that Lando series is live-action or animated remains to be seen, and was no mention of a cast (so, we don't know whether Donald Glover is reprising his Solo: A Star Wars Story role).
The fact it's being billed as an "event series" probably bodes well, however!
The Acolyte sounds like something completely different, though, with that long talked about "High Republic Era" clearly set to be the focus. For those of you sick of stories set during or around the Skywalker Saga, that show will serve as a breath of fresh air!
Take a look at the reveals below:
