RUMOR: Felicity Jones Is Playing The Daughter Of 'Boba Fett' In STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE
Another very interesting tidbit from today's Meet The Movie Press here. Word is the character Felicity Jones is playing in Gareth Edwards' Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One is none other than the offspring of the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy, Boba Fett! Click on for more...
During today's Meet The Movie Press, Heroic Hollywood's El Mayimbe dropped an intriguing rumor about the character Felicity Jones will play in Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One. He's heard that she will actually star as Boba Fett's daughter, but he doesn't elaborate any further. We know the plot of Godzilla director Gareth Edwards' movie revolves around a team of Rebels attempting to steal the plans for the first Death Star, and it was always assumed that Jones would play the leader of that group - but, we have also heard that various other characters and factions will play a role (including Darth Vader and several hired bounty hunters) and that could be where Fett's pride and joy comes in.
Perhaps she'll team up with the Rebels at some point after first being set on their trail? Who knows... and really, the time-frame doesn't add up here anyway so this may well turn out to be bogus.
Rogue One is set before A New Hope, which is set 20-odd years after Revenge Of the Sith. We know Boba Fett was only a kid around this time, so unless he was a VERY early bloomer, it doesn't seem plausible that he'd have a child in at least her early twenties (given Jones' actual age) during the events of Rouge One. Still, Boba was a clone so perhaps that will factor in somehow. Is it also possible that Mayimbe info was a bit off, and she's actually playing Star Wars Rebels character Sabine, who does wear Mandolorian armor very similar to Fett's?. That's just my own speculation of course, but be sure to let us know what you think in the usual place.
