According to a new report by Following the Nerd (who also seemingly called the trailer date for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice), the runtime and the rating for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been revealed!

With the longest Star Wars movie running at 142 minutes (Attack of the Clones), and the shortest running at 121 minutes (A New Hope), the report claims that the 7th installment in the Star Wars franchise will run for 136 minutes. They also posted the file below to back up their report. Check it out.

Even though it seems quite right, take this with a grain of salt, for it is just a rumor. With that said, are you interested in John Boyega's latest thoughts on the film? Starring original cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and franchise newcomers, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to be released on December 18th, 2015.

So the other rumour that The Force Awakens is the same length as The Empire Strikes Back might be false.

It's not the lenght, it's the girth that counts.

@DrunkenNukem
It's Star Wars. They could have just released that teaser from a year ago alone and that would be enough to get the asses in the seats. I want a new trailer too but I've got to hand it to LucasFilm for keeping so much of the film under wraps so close to release, especially when other blockbusters' ads like Age of Ultron are giving away the entire film in piecemeal.
