This has certainly been a busy week for Star Wars rumors. Just a few days ago, Devin Faraci of Badass Digest reported hearing whispers that J.J. Abrams was going to drop out from Star Wars: Episode VII, but Lucasfilm quickly issued a statement shooting down such rumors. While yesterday came even more Star Wars rumors, as Latino Review reported that Ryan Gosling was up for a role playing the son of Luke Skywalker.

The Huffington Post:
A new report about Ryan Gosling meeting with J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm to discuss "Star Wars: Episode VII" has been denied by the stars representatives.

According to the film site Latino Review, Gosling met with the "Star Wars" production team to discuss playing Luke Skywalker's son in the highly anticipated sequel. "This is not true," Gosling's reps wrote in an email to HuffPost Entertainment.

Latino Review has a mad lib starter kit at home where he adds name and movie titles until he gets pretty much anything and puts it on the internet.

This whole "hey I'm interested in doing this movie" thing is getting old. It seems like 3 or 4 times a week we have to wade through these posts. Tell me "yeah he signed" or "no he's out" not "hey I"m interested in doing this..."

OF course they'll deny. You have to deny.

Not saying Gosling will be in the film but I really doubt that he didn't meet with LucasFilm and friends.

Wow, wow, wow. Where is this coming from? If we can shit on other things, why should LR get a pass? Besides who didn't think Khan was the villain?

@nailbiter They nailed Khan? so did every other person on the planet. Even when JJ came out and said "he's not Khan" most people were still like, yeah he's khan. That wasn't a very tough guess.

Getting Dicaprio, is just wishful thinking. Gosling is a longshot, Efron you can book it.

Can't see Gosling sign up for SW - not his type of film and can't ever see him signing a multi-picture deal.

I knew it, Gosling doesn't do franchises. That's why he's never gonna play a superhero, so stop suggesting him for everything, fanboys.

LMAO @ people believing Latino Review and their "scoops" that no other reputable news site even reports, site has become a parody of itselfs. Lazy journalism. I see El Maybe's gone into hiding after there was no Docto Strange announcement at comic-con that was his "scoop", wonder what BS he'll come out with next. LMAO he probably came up with that Doctor Strange fan fic that he stretched out for 3 weeks whilst on the toilet seat.

@ nailbiter...yeah anybody could be right 2% of the time if they spew enough B.S.,and that is the case with Latino Review! They throw so many rumors and "heard it from sources" out there, that they have to get some of it right. This is a forum for people to leave comments,so since you guys want to take the chance at getting the "scoop" out their first, you have to be ready for some backlash when it doesn't pan out. Or else close your comment sections.

Quite glad about this. No knock on Gosling, he's a good actor, he just wouldn't fit right with Star Wars...
