Though
Solo: A Star Wars Story was not the hit that Disney and Lucasfilm hoped for, there is still a slim possibility that a sequel might be made if home release sales exceed the highest of expectations. It is no surprise that Disney is trying to make retail offerings as attractive as possible to make that a reality.
Even though there is no date set in stone for the Blu-Ray release of the spin-off, the film is expected to hit stores in September, with a whole variety of exclusives. Target is the latest of to announce their offerings.
Recently revealed through an updated listing, Target has shown what will be included in their exclusive 4K/2-disc Blu-Ray and Digital HD box set. In addition to the gorgeous cover art, it also includes a Gallery Book that includes art throughout Solo's development. Perhaps this will give fans the insight they are hungry for into its infamous production.
Interestingly, the inclusion of a bonus features disc indicates that a whole lot of extra content will be included.
The Last Jedi's bonus disc included a raw full length documentary with fantastic insight into Rian Johnson's doubts and hopes as he was making the divisive film. It would be fantastic to see whether Lucasfilm has the guts to delve into the trouble Solo faced. Fingers crossed.
