Stan Lee Talks About The Possibility Of An AVENGERS/STAR WARS Crossover

Stan Lee has shared his point of view on many things in the movie world. In a recent interview with the Big Issue, Stan Lee, after saying a Marvel/Fox crossover would be "the most expensive film ever produced", revealed how he thinks a Star Wars and Avengers crossover could become a possibility. “Obviously the people who produce these [movies] are looking to be as successful as possible. If they feel that incorporating Star Wars with the Marvel characters will be very successful, they’ll find a way to do it. Can you imagine Spider-Man saying, 'May the force be with you'? It may come to that!” The 93-year old legend then elaborated on his comments. “I created the Avengers by taking many of our characters and making a team out of them. We can have as many characters join the Avengers as we want to for future movies. That might be fun, all of a sudden Luke Skywalker is an Avenger!” Would you like to see the two franchises crossover at some point in the future? I mean, they're both owned by Disney. I would only do it as a nod, nothing beyond that. So Star Lord in a bar having a drink, or in GotG you see the Falcon at a space dock just a tease that is never meant to be taken seriously like ET in the Prequels or Bar Obi Wan in Indiana Jones

oh Stan, hes like that senile old grandpa who spouts random shit, but you would really miss him if he wasnt around.

with all of the recent famous deaths...I really hope Stan is in damn good health for a long time to come, at least to cameo in movies from Captain American Civil War up until Inhumans

It probably wouldn't be a very good idea to have characters from a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away crossing over with the present day Avengers.

However, seeing elements from the Star Wars universe in the MCU and/or the comics would be perfectly awesome.

In fact, they've already done that.

There're little womprats all over Guardinas of the Galaxy.

So, it's already the same universe. Just separated by time and by space.

Also there's the easter egg in Captain America: The First Avenger (by Lucasfilm alum' Joe Johnston). The Red Skull says "And the Fuhrer digs for trinkets in the desert".

Remember that? That means that Raiders of the Lost Ark was happening at the same time, somewhere off-screen.
And, being Lucasfilm, the Indy films are full of Star Wars easter eggs and connective tissue.

I really wouldn't mind seeing more easter eggs, as time goes by.
Luke's lightsaber in the Collector's collection, maybe?

It would be pretty cool to have a Star Wars/Marvel crossover with the modern day Marvel characters getting involved in a storyline involving Sith and Jedi.

Doctor Doom corrupted by the dark side of the force?
Thanos as a Sith Lord?
Captain America with a lightsaber?
Or even, as The Man says, Spidey saying "May the Force Be With You"?

Yes, please.

Original Star Wars characters could appear as Force ghosts. And maybe we could even get some re-activated Droids.

That would actually be awesome.

And could you imagine the money...?

I don't like that idea. I feel it will hinder the quality of both franchises.
