I'd say that regardless of what he might want to say, Simon Pegg being in Episode ViI is pretty much a lock just like Michael Caine in Nolan movies and Johnny Depp and Tim Burton.

For years people outside both camps have been confusing Star Trek with Star Wars and being corrected by geeks when they make that Freudian slip.

Now J.J Abrams will validate that merging of both and confuse everyone forever. Geeks will be pulling their hair out trying to correct children, co-workers and girlfriends.

Happy Star Wars Day everyone! :-)

If anyone from Star Trek appeared in Star Wars, I hope they'd be appearing as aliens just to distance them a bit from their Trek roles. I could definitely see Pegg and maybe Saldana getting supporting roles.

I think fans could accept Pegg in the Star Wars movie. Pegg's role in Star Trek isn't like Captain Kirk or Spock. Plus, Pegg is more of a Star Wars fan then Star Trek fan anyway.

Keep all actors from Star Trek far away from Star Wars...

I know that this may upset some fans on both camps, but I wouldn't be surprised if this actually happens.

In the meantime here's something to entertain your thoughts:

CHRIS PINE AS BEN SKYWALKER:

Now let's sit back while the wrath of the fanboys consumes the geek universe.
