STAR WARS: BALANCE OF THE FORCE? The Title For EPISODE IX May Have Leaked Early

We didn't find out what J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode IX would be called during Disney's earnings call, but a fan has done some internet sleuthing and may have uncovered the title himself. Take a look...

There are always countless rumors relating to the subtitle of a new Star Wars movie in the buildup to its official reveal, but this one may hold a bit more weight than some of the others we've heard.

A Redditor claims to have done some digging into the JavaScript over on StarWars.com and managed to uncover the title of the final installment in the Skywalker saga: Star Wars: Balance of the Force.

This certainly sounds like a feasible title - although we already had a reference to the force in J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens, so Lucasfilm reusing the word for this final part of the trilogy might be a stretch.

At any rate, this is obvioulsy just a rumor for now but hopefully we'll find out for certain soon. The title of The Last Jedi was unveiled around this time in 2017, after all, but there is a lot of speculation that they could wait until Star Wars Celebration on April 11 to announce it.

If Star Wars: Balance of the Force did turn out to be the title, what would you guys think? Drop us a commend down below.

People used that title for the "supposed" Kenobi film, way back when.

"Balance of the Force"? Seriously? That's almost as lame and generic as "A Force Awakens." Its a really stupid name. Considering the rumor that something called The Beyond will be important to the story, a logical and smart title for the film would be "Beyond the Force."

Hopefully this isn't true, and if it is, I hope that this isn't a sign that Abrams will be delivering another mediocre Star Wars film.

@HeavyMetal4Life - When you don’t have a proper story for a movie (and we don’t talk about the whole trilogy...), you can’t have a proper title for your movie

Even the soundtrack by Williams is disappointing, but we can’t blame him, he probably didn’t have inspiration when he read these poor scripts

The New York Toy Fair is in a couple of weeks, so it would make sense if the title was known before that.

Would be okay....but they really should go with Return of the Revenge to really confuse people on the film titles.

...just leave it at " Star Wars -Balance", just like "Rogue One -a Star Wars Story". Keep it simple.

@Edministrator - I was going to comment that they should call it “Star Wars: Who Gives A Shit” but this is better.

You really can't get a better title than 'The Last Jedi' so most things won't live up to that, but this is lamer than expected if true

So two movies in the same trilogy with "The Force" in the title? Lame.
