STAR WARS: EPISODE IX And The Next INDIANA JONES Get New Release Dates

Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm have just announced released dates for Star Wars: Episode IX and the next Indiana Jones installment- which will see both Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg return.

Star Wars: Episode IX now has a confirmed release date of May 24, 2019, which coincides with the Memorial Day weekend. Do you think the shift to the Summer and away from the Holiday season will impact the film's box office performance?

In addition, Disney and Lucasfilm have dated the next cinematic outing for everyone's favorite swashbuckling archaeologist, Indiana Jones. Both Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg will return for the next Indy film, which has been dated for July 10, 2020. Indiana Jones 5 was previously slated for a July 2019 release.

Ford said he wouldn't do a new Indy without Steven Spielberg and a really good script... So that's encouraging at least. Nothing beats Raider of the Lost Ark though. NOTHING!
