STAR WARS THE FORCE AWAKENS Already Broke A World Record; Click To See Which One

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hasn’t even hit in any theaters yet, and it has already broke a world record! Which one? Guinness World Records has certified that the seventh film in the Star Wars franchise has broken the record for...Hit the jump to find out!

According to Guinness World Records the second trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the most-viewed movie trailer on YouTube in 24 hours. This trailer racked up 30.65 million views, dethroning every other trailer ever released on YouTube. But I have this strange feeling that this is only the beginning. Jurassic World had the biggest opening of all-time beating Marvel's The Avengers record, and with Star Wars: The Force Awaken set to hit theaters in December, Jurassic World might not be holding that spot for long.  Next thing you know, the cast and crew of Jurassic World will be sending a classy piece of artwork to Lucasfilm and Disney congratulating them on their success. Will Star Wars: The Force Awakens beat Avatar’s all-time record? Possibly. Who knows? What do you think? Sound off below in the comment section with your thoughts!

Anyone who knows anything about the box office knows that Star Wars isn't breaking the opening weekend record. It is opening in December, which has never had an opening higher than the mid $80 millions. Films set opening weekend records regularly in summer, virtually never in December.

If there is a record it will be going for, it will be the all-time record like what Avatar and Titanic pulled off...the film DOES have the same release date.

2 good movies out of 6. There hasn't been a decent one in 30 years. I don't understand the infatuation with this franchise.

I would like to see Star Wars become the highest grossing film ever,of course I won't see any of the money but I like the things I like to do or perform well.

Sorry Star Wars is more popular than anything Marvel or DC could bring to the table.

@marvel72 I tend to agree with you. Some people on this site have no awareness of how big of a deal star wars really is. If this movie gets good reviews it's going to have ridiculous legs.
