STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER - Disney+ Just Made A Surprising Change To How The Movie Looks

Disney and Lucasfilm have made some visual tweaks to the finale of the Skywalker Saga that should improve your Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker viewing experience (it won't make it any better, though).

The Rise of Skywalker is the worst reviewed Star Wars movie in the Disney era of Lucasfilm, with a 51% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Fans are just as divided as critics, though, and the finale to the Skywalker Saga definitely failed to resonate with a lot of people.

Like Game of Thrones, there are those who would like to see Episode IX receive a remake, but that's obviously not going to happen. However, some tweaks have been made to The Rise of Skywalker that should make it a slightly more enjoyable viewing experience on Disney+.

As you can see below, J.J. Abrams' heavy blue/green camera filter has been removed, and there's a noteworthy difference based on these before and after shots. It's unclear why Disney has made the change, but it's possibly because that filter doesn't work as well on television as it did in theaters (some of the visuals on the big screen definitely looked a little murky).

Interestingly, the captions during the final battle have also been changed to provide the names for each of the Jedi voices that Rey hears. There are no big new reveals there, though, as their identities have previously been confirmed.

Take a look at the changes to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker below:
