The Great STARWARS:TFA hype

Dear Starwarites, what is all the big hype about this movie? I mean, are we so desperate for Starwars that we're just happy to be getting it again?

I love starwars. Grew up on it, what kind of freak show didn't? But was it really all the hype we are hearing now? As I was enjoying the movie the whole time with an occasional "oh ok then, anything new?". In the end I felt like I had walked back into the same relationship I left previously. This movie was a retelling of the same story and moments.

Point 1: A desert again?
Point 2: A cute droid again?
Point 3: Another bar scene with musicians
Point 4: Another Deathstar but just bigger?
Point 5: Another kid goes bad and joins the Darkside?

And what's with Kylo Ren sucking so much at light sabre? Rey, never trained and can all of a sudden fence. I mean what the hell has that giant been teaching Kylo Ren? Does he get an F in fencing? And Rey is a swordsman? Ok, Kylo Ren was injured but didn't watching Yoda tell us that you could harness the force to give you strength! I guess Rey is the chosen one or something and that is why she is so good (staff and sword not the same). I mean Luke had to train.

And the Death star that has a weak spot that can be destroy by itty bitty fighter jets? I mean when are these engineers going to quadruple the fire power and reinforce all the steel or just get it out of site and inaccessible.

I still love starwars but I who the next to show us something we haven't really seen before.
