'Vader' Strikes In First Clip From The STAR WARS REBELS Season 2 Première

Season 2 of Star Wars Rebels will not only feature James Earl Jones returning to voice Vader and Ashley Eckstein reprising the role of Ashoka, but Buffy the Vampire Slayer herself Sarah Michelle Geller joining the cast as a mysterious character many believe will turn out to be a young Princess Leia. Plus, we'll be seeing some more familiar faces from the Clone Wars such as Captain Rex. Though Ahsoka will play a "significant role" in the series moving forward, don't expect her to pop up every week. Like Vader, the character will be used sparingly to maintain some mystery and excitement for the episodes in which they are featured.

Continuing the epic tradition of the legendary Star Wars saga, "Star Wars Rebels" unfolds between the events of Star Wars Episodes III and IV and tells the story of the motley but clever crew of the starship Ghost who together face threatening new villains, encounter colorful adversaries and embark on thrilling adventures. In its second season, "Star Wars Rebels" will feature recurring appearances by fan-favorite characters including Darth Vader and Ahsoka Tano.

Agreed. Not as good as clone wars but still very good and in its own right as well.

I have started watching Rebels and man am I hooked. Its not without its flaws, for sure, but there is something really cool about the show being set in the original Star Wars universe and particularly around the period of the formation of the Rebel Alliance. I also like that the whole Star Wars saga being told and delivered on multiple formats i.e. animation and live action. It adds so much more depth when you watch the series chronologically. I also have to eat my own words for critiquing Disney for introducing spin off movies. When you consider what is being proposed in context to how these stories will tie in to the whole saga will be just great. I am defiantly more excited for chapter 7 these days.
