VIDEO GAMES: STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT To Be Revealed At Star Wars Celebration

Since it was announced at E3 2013, fans have been clamouring for concrete details on EA's upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront, and next month, we're set to get just that - the game will feature at the world's premier Star Wars event. Hit the jump for more.

Apart from some concept art and a few short videos at E3 2013 and 2014, we haven't heard too much from EA or DICE on their upcoming instalment in the Star Wars: Battlefront franchise. Well, it's been announced that the game will make an appearance at next month's Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim. In an official statement, EA said, "We could not think of a better or more appropriate place to debut the game officially for the first time than the premier event that celebrates the Star Wars universe and the legions of fans who have fallen in love with it." The event will be held from April 16-19, so, until then, we play the waiting game. Are you looking forward to finding out what EA has in store?

I have been meaning to write an article on this game. Problem is too many rumors not enough facts yet.

What we know as fact.


It will be a Star Wars game
Maps will be designed for specific game modes


What are the rumors.


32 vs 32 multiplayer
Spans episodes 1-7
Heroes vs villains is coming back
Heavy on dlc
First AND third person shooter, just like Battlefront 2
Can earn hero characters in matches just like before
Space to ground combat

There's a few more I have written down, just not at home right now. So stoked for this game. I plugged my Playstation 2 in last week just to play Battlefront 2 again. I'm used to a X box One now, so the graphics were a little painful. But after a few hours it felt just like before. This is my most anticipated game of the year. Keep in mind that the people at Dice making this, we're a part of the company that originally did Battlefront 2. So they know what their doing. And they are so hard at work on this game they let a third party develop this year's Battlefield game. I'm sure that game will let a few people down, I played the beta. Battlefield 4 was better.

Battlefront 2 is one of the best for me. I hope in 3 you can choose to be any heroes at any level. More specifically I want to be able to play as Han at any level at any time in Conquest mode.

FREAKING COOL GAME!!!!!!!

And make Bespin one of the enviros!!! Can't believe they didn't do it originally

@Mothchild. Supposedly it will be similar to Battlefront 2. When you do really well you get to respawn as one of the hero characters. But if they do Heroes vs Villains again you should get to take your pick from whomever you want. I just hope this time your not limited to one map. And their not calling it Battlefront 3. This is a complete re do.

I played Battlefront II on PC a long, long time ago, so I don't have a lot of memories playing it. However, I'm super pumped for this, and I'm glad to hear others on CBM are too.

Yea, this game could be the "CoD/Battlefield Killer" in terms of online play...I imagine EVERYONE will buy this game if it's as high in quality as the former titles!

I just want combat with outer space to planet surface...imagine Force Unleashed meets GTA5 meets CoD or Destiny!!!

This could be epic..yet another reason for me to man up and buy a PS4
