Really enjoyed the movie as a whole. Some SUPER lazy writing though, and I think they took it a bit too far trying to connect it to A New Hope. Connective tissue is one thing, overkill is another.

However, this is easily the most gorgeous Star Wars film I've ever watched. I don't think it's the best Star Wars movie but it's the best movie ABOUT the Star Wars universe...if that makes sense.

@MattBellissimo - People saying is better than The Force Awakens is pissing me off.

@ODanil - Many people (not everyone, but many) are just saying that because they dislike Rey. Which is an unbelievably dumb criticism. While I liked certain elements better in Rogue One (particularly the way they illustrated galactic warfare), the characters in TFA have, in my opinion, more depth. Of course, there are things about TFA is also heavily dislike, but hey. Separate movie.

I find it hard to compare Rogue One with TFA because they are just so vastly different

@MattBellissimo - the writing was lazy in some parts. First half was dull. And apparently there were 14 scenes missing form the trailers. I wonder who's really to thank for the finished product. I've seen some discussion as to whether Gilroy or Gareth made the film what it really was.

Cinematography was gorgeous and the performances were great though. Final battle was spectacular.

Gotta watch it. Don't judge me, couldn't find the time to do so.
