We've been seeing a lot of TV spots for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story recently, but this minute long final trailer is made up almost entirely of never before seen footage. However, it also potentially spoils some pretty big moments in the highly anticipated release from Godzilla director Gareth Edwards.

Among those are how exactly Jyn is saved when she gets surrounded by Imperial Stormtroopers and a key scene where our heroes are saved at the last minute from being taken out by a looming AT-ACT.

The cast of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story includes Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, and a number of others, and it's currently set to be released on December 16th, later this year. Let us know your thoughts on this in the usual place.

Wasn't the last trailer they released "The Final Trailer"? You'd think they'd be able to keep track.

Love it... I hope the film can live up to these trailers, because they're knocking it out of the park.

@ComicsBornAndBred - thats the thing about Force Awakens, it retroactively makes the victory in Return of the Jedi pointless and has Luke, Leia and Han become complete failures. Actually why is it called Return of the Jedi, if Luke fails at bringing back the jedi? nevermind, member the deathstar? member stormtroopers?

@FishyZombie - Yup.

Now, one would think a new threat could be created, one that doesn't threaten the entire galaxy and resemble The Empire exactly. If the adversaries were something drastically different than the First Order, maybe it wouldn't make Luke, Han and Leia's prospective success, seem like a failure.

I used to have an idea where the new threat fir this new trilogy would be more FORCE related. Center on the Force. I get that SW always has to have a battle between jedi, sith, and pseudo nazi oppressive regimes but maybe you can do without the regime. Maybe focus on a threat that's smaller but still significant.

To be fair, it's not like kicking Germany's ass in WWI led to lasting peace and prosperity for everyone.
