Xenix Reviews: Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition

I finally get this game to run. WARNING: Spoilers abundant, not that it matters at this point.

About a year ago, I picked up Force Unleashed for PC. I was totally excited for it, and couldn't WAIT to play it. I installed it as soon as I got home. It was a surprisingly large install, and took a while, and then it finished.

And then.....I got an error message.

APPARENTLY my old laptop (A Vista, ugh) didn't have enough power or a good enough video card to run it. I bought new ones, but neither of them would work. I still have them, actually. I was so dissapointed. Between the 40 bucks I spent on TFU, the 100+ bucks I earned from lawnmowing to buy the parts...all for nothing.

And then, one day...my Vista died.

Just ffft. Died. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to get a new laptop that could actually run it. I did, a brand-new Windows 7.

The moment it arrived, I ripped it open, installed TFU, and played it.

I waited a whole year for this game, spent about 400 bucks total (to be fair, it wasn't all at once), and...

It was absolutely, positively, 100% worth it, and then some.

The graphics are stunning, the Story is great, and the overall gameplay is just EPIC.

Now, anyway, enough with my rambling, onto the review:

The Force Unleashed follows the journeys of Galen Marek, aka Starkiller, as he seeks to find out those who would fight against Vader, to destroy the Emperor. When he was Vader's secret apprentice, raised since he was about 10, he learned the dark side, and went off on secret missions to eliminate the last of the Jedi, in various parts of the galaxy. When the Emperor 'discovers' him, he is betrayed by Vader, but Vader saves him. He tells him to find the Emperors enemies and create the Rebel Alliance.

This game is simply fantastic, with an excellent storyline, a fantastic cast, great maps, and overall perfect acting. Not to mention, enemies that are actually a threat, whereas other games, like Jedi Knight 2 and 3, have great stories, but the enemies aren't that hard to beat most of the time.

The game is a total thrill ride. I give it 10/10.

Hopefully, when Force Unleashed 2 comes out this month, it won't take me so long to play it.

NOTE: This is my first review, so sorry if it seems long.
