After the secret of the Stargate's ninth chevron is discovered, a team of explorers from Earth travels to the unmanned starship Destiny, which was launched by the Ancients hundreds of millenia ago as an experiment. The new crew, not able to control the Destiny's navigation, is forced to complete its original mission. They travel far out into the universe, encountering new races and enemies.

"Gauntlet": When the command ships and their drones cut off all access to planets, the Destiny crew must finally fight back rather than flee.

I think canceling Stargate Universe is a mercy killing. They should have done it after the pilot aired. It lacks the fun and fast pace of SG-1.

What a weak ending to the series. But from a marketing standpoint they can do a few direct to video movies in a few years.

After watching the last ep., I was very sad. It felt like I just watched the last of Space Opera type shows for a very long time. I just hope BSG:Blood and Chrome is good, but I have my doubts. Caprica really blew for the genera as a whole. I got into the VR thing but the drama was just dragging on and on with no real connect for the characters.
SGU was OK then it got much better with the last 10 episodes. The character started to become likeable as apposed to the first season and half. They should have never tried to be BSG meets Voyager. They should have stayed with just re-inventing Voyager. They always did better when they just tried to outshine Star Trek.

Lets just hope three years passes and SGU comes back in movie or series to finish what was started.

Season 1 may have been slow, but season 2 was fcuking AWESOME! I'm EXTREMELY disappointed with the ending of the series. It wouldn't have been too bad as a SEASON finale, but as a SERIES finale....it blew chunks.

SyFy has lost it's way. It stopped being a Sci-Fi channel when they changed the name. Now all it's all realityTV and wrestling shows......WHERE IS THE SCIENCE FICTION???

I will give Blood & Chrome a shot, but this channel has lost my patronage. I used to watch Sci-Fi and G4TV almost exclusively, but with all the mistakes in programming of the former, and the latter always running hours and hours of COPS reruns (since when do geeks like cops?), they both suck.

SGU was just getting awesome, bunch of fcuking nitwits...
