I loved STARGATE SG-1, I kinda like (what I saw) of ATLANTIS!

SG-U kinda bites the big one, shame I tried watching the first 8 or so episodes and it never got any better! : (

I like SGU it has a lot of potential but it just doesn't live up to it, I was really dissapointed of how some episodes turned out

SG-1 was [frick]ing awesome!
Atlantis wasn't that bad, had some good stuff in it.
SG-U is just learning to walk. It's realy different from the other stargates and i'm gonna give it a chance.

I've seen the first two episodes of season two and the show keeps getting better and better -- precisely because they've really shaken the franchise up with this show.

Yeah, they've shaken up the STRAGATE franchise with
STARGATE-U but it seems kinda clunky to me! It is
improving but it's kind of wobbly on it's young legs!

I still watch it tho'! But I'll watch anything outer-
spacey! LOL

You know I don't really understand why they
cancelled STARGATE: ATLANTIS? I really liked
it! I miss it!

DDD, the trend I'm seeing with Syfy is that they like to give their hit sci-fi shows four or five seasons and then they cancel. It seems all they are interested in is hitting that special sydication rights number.

Syfy hit series:
Stargate SG-1 (five seasons on Showtime. five on Syfy)
Stargate Atlantis (five seasons)
Battlestar Galactica (four seasons)

Betcha big bucks they'll cancell Eureka after the 2011 season, which would be their fifth.

Regarding SGU. During the first half of season one, I watched it cuz nothing else was on that caught my attention. But on the second half, I watched it cuz I was becoming interested.

The funny thing about the show, Syfy wants you to be interested in the lives of their unimaginative young characters (not counting Eli), but the ones I want to know about are, Colonel Young, Colonel Telford and Dr. Rush. For me, those 3 carry the show along. Everyone else, except Eli, could be blew thru an airlock and I couldn't care less.

I still like the "groundhog day" episode of SG-1 where they are hitting golf balls into the stargate. SGU it was getting better during the last half of last season. Hopefully it will keep going, doubt it will do 10 like SG-1. They just have to many 'red shirt' type of characters on the show.

@stopdropandroll:

I have stated as much to friends also. The network is cruel to its shows. Farscape was great blow as it had a fan base and its ratings had only slipped a little. They axed it because it cost too much and there was direction change. BSG had a planned cycle so they knew how to handle SyFy (btw, hate the new tag for the station).
Invisble Man was a good show and the cast had a great chemistry. Plug pulled. Warehouse 13, Santuary, Eureka will all only run 5 years max before the station heads say they need a show that is new and hip for the current kids. At this rate, I think I would rather have the Sci-fi equivalent of TV Land back that the station was. I would prefer it to the crap movies they air.

I've watched the other 2 SG series, but this one just sucks in my opinion. Not only is the lighting horrible (they can find everything else, but no light switches?) but the pacing is slow and horrible. This entire series just seems to me like it wants to be another BSG, and I couldn't stand that crapfest.
