TENET: New Details About Christopher Nolan's Next Movie Tease A "Quantum Cold War" Story

Christopher Nolan's return to the sci-fi genre has been shrouded in secrecy, but a new book about the film drops a few minor details about what we can expect from Tenet! Find out more after the jump...

While Christopher Nolan is still pushing for Tenet to be released in July, very little is known about the film. Of course, it doesn't really help that Warner Bros. has been forced to pause the movie's marketing campaign, but something the studio has been unable to stop leaking out is a new book on Amazon (discovered by Screen Rant).

The behind the scenes book is current available for pre-order,  and is titled "The Secrets of Tenet: Inside Christopher Nolan's Quantum Cold War."

That alone is a pretty big reveal, and obviously points to the movie's characters having to prevent a nuclear war which is somehow tied to quantum physics. The description of the book doesn't reveal much beyond that, but promises a "time-bending" adventure and one that's "guaranteed to linger in the imagination long into the future...and perhaps the past."

So, time-travel? It certainly sounds like that's going to come into play, and that's definitely an exciting prospect.

Whether we actually get to see Tenet in July is hard to say, and even if it is released, many moviegoers may be reluctant to return to theaters (which could hamper its chances of success).

Time will tell on that front, but here's hoping a new look at the movie is coming our way soon...

Notice how the making-of book was just re-titled, but the release date of it is still July 17th.

Perhaps a hint that the film may still have its original release date in July?

@kylo0607 - as of right now it still does, but warner bros are still discussing this. Consider that date up in the air.

A few weeks ago I was apprehensive about going to a movie theatre again but by this Thursday we’ll be at Level 2 and oh boy do I want to see something on the big screen, especially this!

This could go both ways. Either it proves Nolan right and kicks off people's return to theaters despite the danger of a new outbreak, or it proves him wrong and it bombs bc of fear or returning to normality. Should be interesting to see what happens. The movie looks spectacular, though. If any movie is gonna make me take the chance into a packed movie theatre is this one!

@jarcastanon - Nolan knows.

Marvel would be wise to bring Black Widow forward WHILE THEY CAN.

Didn't we already know that the plot revolves around John David Washington's character being a time-travelling secret agent trying to prevent World War III from happening?

He's supposed to be like a James Bonds meets Kyle Reese or something.

I can't wait for 'Tenet' will it beat Cary Fukunaga's BOND this year?

What I find interesting is that Pattinson had an interview with GQ and he confirmed there is no time travelling in the film:

So I presume so sort of messing up with quantum physics, but no necessarily going back in time?

No idea what will happen, but this is Nolan and I am beyond hyped!

I don't think this will make its july release. Theaters here wont open until december. WB should push it to later in the year. Where they might make more money than they would in july.

Feige, Nolan, and A.24. These I trust.
