In the aftermath of Judgment Day and the machine takeover, resistance leader John Connor must counter Skynet’s plan to terminate mankind. Rallying his underground street fighters for a last, desperate battle, he realizes that to save the future he must rescue his own father Kyle Reese. But the most shocking discovery comes with the arrival of Marcus Wright, a mysterious loner from the past who challenges Connor with an impossible choice and leads them both on a brutal journey into the heart of the enemy.

Terminator Salvation (2009) was directed by McG, from a screenplay written by John Brancato and Michael Ferris. The cast included: Christian Bale as John Connor, Sam Worthington as Marcus Wright, Anton Yelchin as Kyle Reese, Bryce Dallas Howard as Kate Connor, Common as Barnes, Helena Bonham Carter as Dr. Serena Kogan and Roland Kickinger as the T-800 Model 101 (Arnold Schwarzenegger's CGI facial likeness).

I think it wouldve looked awesome to see the T-800 partially as Arnold, they couldve got away with just using part of his likeness instead a full CGI'd face on another persons body.

Batman shouldn't use guns. Shame on him.

Great stuff. It's a shame that this cameo was the only good thing in the movie.

@citizenofgotham You're absolutely right. I couldn't recognize Bale as John Connor for once in the entire movie. It's like he and Batman are like bread and butter.

He's not going to pass for human very well as an infiltration-model as he has no willy.

What I never got was, if he's a machine, that would gain no real use from genitalia, why does he clearly have one flapping around when he runs up to the guys that try to mug him?

They did a great job with the CGI for this. Best use of CGI facial technology yet. I really enjoyed this movie and I really hope I get to see another one here really soon. I don't care if it's a sequel or prequel or whatever! Gimme more Terminator!

Why do the bullets just bounce off his skin? Shouldn't they go into him like normal flesh?

That always bothered me.

They actually used a life size digital replica of his whole body to portray the T-800. One of the times he won Mister Universe a guy took a whole body cast mold of Arny's body. In his prime. When they went to do this scene, they had a stand in do the part but they put a digitized version over him. Thats all Arnold. Just from very many years ago.

The CGI Facial Technology was also helped by the fact that the stand in for the T-800 was played by Arnold's Doppelganger, Roland Kickinger. He also played Arnold in a movie (SEE ARNOLD RUN) where he played a young version of him during his bodybuilding days.

@Doopie:

They are supposed to, as in Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles when we are introduced to the villain Terminator he is in an infiltration sleeper-cell agent mode and in part of a relationship with a woman (girlfriend) and in their bedroom. So they must be able to get it up biologically as cyborgs.
