As a result of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Hollywood has come to a very sudden halt. New content will continue to be released across film and television in the weeks and months ahead, albeit without actors who can promote their work.
That's going to hurt a lot of upcoming titles, including Gareth Edwards' (Godzilla) new original sci-fi movie The Creator. If what we see in this new trailer is any indication, it will be another incredible piece of filmmaking from the director, but original stories like this struggle to attract an audience at the best of times, never mind during a period where they can't be promoted to the greatest extent possible.
Still, this action-packed sneak peek offers plenty of compelling reasons to watch The Creator in theaters on September 29. During this jaw-dropping preview, more is revealed about what promises to be a timely and hard-hitting adventure for John David Washington's Joshua and his unexpected AI companion.

Joshua and his team of elite operatives journey across enemy lines, into the dark heart of AI-occupied territory, only to discover the world-ending weapon he’s been instructed to destroy is an AI in the form of a young child.
