Titan Comics to release an Idenpendence Day prequel to the new Independece Day: Resurgence movie

A new series of comicbooks published by Titans Comics will be the bridge between the Independence Day and the Independence Day: Resurgence movies!

According to "The Hollywood Reporter" the publisher from Titans Comics, the new comics will be "a rich psychological prison drama"  set after the first movie and before the new one which is going to be released next year. The editor Stevie White said "a golden opportunity to segue nicely into next year's blockbuster sequel by taking the mythos of the original and maybe adding a little darkness to it."
There's no creator or release date information yet.


Independence Day: Resurgence: is scheduled for release June 24, 2016.
