20th Century Fox has now released two new featurettes of this year's potential blockbuster Avatar from James Cameron!

"Avatar" is to be released in 3D theaters and IMAX 3D cinemas in December on the 18th 2009. Check out the 1st feature with some on new eye popping effects an sci-fi action, unbelievable.




The fantastic 2nd feature that you can now see here features Sigourney Weaver talking in detail about the Pandora world. You've got to see it to believe it in this all new "Avatar" footage and info.

Does any one else feel like they're watching a deleted scene from the documentary Planet Earth when they're watching the second clip. Weaver's voice has the same tone that she had during the whole documentary.

I know alot of people are down on this, but I'll admit I've thought it looked visually stunning since the first clip I watched.

meh I don't think they will. If you're someone who gets put off by over promoting directors the movie will never be your cup of tea. It's the danger of promising the sun the moon and the stars as Cameron has. He's all but promised that this movie will suck your dick. He's promised that his film will separate movie history in half, a before avatar and after avatar...that's the most asinine promise ever made.

Personally I don't care what he promises, I've excepted that he's full of himself beyond belief, the movie looks interesting to me so I'll see it. Some people aren't as forgiving though, and will hold him to his word, and if it's not the greatest piece in the history of film then it will be a failure. And if you are to take him at his word then it's only fair to judge him so harshly.

I don't want to sound negative, but I don't see this movie turning a profit. I do hope I'm wrong because the guy is so talented, but the previews I've seen look too predictable. Can't wait to see it, and see how this story goes beyond the trailers.

yeah, it's massive budget is a little daunting. I mean he's really banking on the fact that he's changing movie history...if he doesn't it doesn't matter how awesome the story is the movie will be a huge disaster. I'm talking about the kind of disaster they point and laugh at in yahoo news slide shows of failed movie ventures that is posted every year around oscar season. It could be the best writing and acting since Citizen Cain or Casablanca and it would still be sitting next to howard the duck on the ultimate list of failures.

I'm with you guys - I've been waiting for this flick ever since I caught the trailer. I hope its as good as it can be!

@ Blee - you seem to post this every time a story on Avatar gets posted. The gents who run the site have said numerous times that this site is for movies based on comics as well as other things fans may get a kick out of. It seems to me we're all diggin' Leee's post. As usual, great find!

I'm curious about Avatars marketing campaign though. Opening day is only a couple of weeks away and I've only seen one television commercial for it...
