"V": Network Video Promos, Then and Now

With ABC's forthcoming "V" being based on the miniseries from the 1980s, the best way for the moment to compare the two different takes on the material is to take a look at network video promos created for each one.

Joel Gretsch is actually a really good actor. That's one of the most impressive things about this new "V", they went with known quantities for the cast and it really is quite an ensemble. Are they superstars? In most cases, no. But they're all solid performers and collectively it shoudl be interesting to watch them.

It looks ok. but I'm still a little skeptical since it is airing on ABC. I just have a feeling something small but crucial to the story will be changed in the remake. I don't remember there being a priest in the original but I could be wrong. There was also a family of Jews who had to hide from the invaders. I didnt see much of that in there.

4400, Lost, Smallville, Firefly...I don't mind seeing 1 maybe 2 familiar faces...but the primary cast is people from shows that were either canceled or were killed off...If fans did't want to see those shows or actors...what makes them think bringing them together will help?
