Our favorite bald toughie just confirmed that he will be joining the third movie of the Riddick franchise

Vin Diesel is confirmed to star in and produce a third installment installment in the "Chronicles of Riddick" franchise, reports Variety.

Universal Pictures will handle domestic distribution and Lionsgate is currently selling international rights.

David Twohy, the writer and director of both Pitch Black and The Chronicles of the Riddick, will helm the third Riddick movie.

According to the trade, the third film will hew closer in tone to the cult hit Pitch Black and will focus on the character of Riddick as opposed to the universe he inhabits.

At the moment Diesel is expected to star in the fifth installment of The Fast and the Furious franchise.



Woah, I'm so excited for this movie. Now I get to see the Riddick with the power to destroy the universe.

since the second one didnt make much money they wont get as big of budget for the third one so thats why they are going small and you wont see any big space battles.

I liked both movies, Pith Black was better for story and suspense, COR had good action scenes and the story was interesting but not as good as it's premise.

The only thing I liked about Riddick was costuming and set design. Not a big Vin Diesle fan. Mumbling idiot.

COR was a mess imo. It hadn't a [frick]ing clue what it was trying to put across or where it was going. It was like they made it up as they went along. They shoved far too much mythology and back story into one movie until it just became boring. Add to that Diesel on autopilot and dialog like "its been a long time since I smelled beautiful" and you have one very pissed off sci fi fan.

I thoroughly enjoyed both films and can't wait for a third. But Ror is right... the [frick] is up with that bland ass title?!?!?!?! But there's one thing that those movies missed and that was TITTIES!!! No tea, i can't see the ones you put on here. You don't have a photobucket account LOL ;P

As for another FF, it can't get any worse than 2 Fart 2 Flatulance. That was one of the shittiest films ever. Brilliant example of how bad Walker and Gibson are and how ugly Eva Mendez is. The only good thing about that movie was Devon Aoki. YES DAMN IT... i like Devon but not Eva. Sue me LOL ;P

I can't believe the same person wrote Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick?!?! COR was horrible imo. However, i absolutely LOVED Pitch Black. If they can manage to capture the tone and style of the 1st and blend in some of the action sequences of the 2nd they'll have a hit...

...I do have reservations tho, so they need to make a kickass trailer or they aren't getting MY $10.

the fast and furious sucks big balls i hate that movie with a passion. If your gona remake point break why exclude gary buseys character he was the best thing in that movie. Actually angers me. Not sayin i love point break, it's a bit shite, f & f is way frickin worse
