WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES "A Father Becomes Legend" TV Spot Released As First Reactions Hit Twitter

Happy Father's Day! To mark the occasion, 20th Century Fox has debuted another TV spot for War for The Planet of The Apes, and it contains some awesome new footage of Caesar and his people clashing with The Colonel's forces.

This promo does make me a little worried for our simian hero, however.

We also have some Twitter reaction from the first press screening of the film, and to say they are on the positive side is an understatement. In fact, nobody had a single bad thing to say, and it's being hailed as not only the best of the franchise, but one of the best movies of the year so far.

The Batman is definitely in good hands.
hard to believe freakin' Planet of the Apes would have one of the more solid trilogies in recent times.

As good as this looks, I can't get hyped for it... I KNOW it will be good, but I can't get into it.

It was the same for Dawn as well... It was a good film, but I felt very bored throughout.

Rise was great, though. Had a great time with it.

I generally hate reboots / remakes and everything they stand for, but this series of new Planet of the Apes movies has been nothing short of outstanding. The CGI on the apes is hands down the best CGI I've seen in the past decade and the story is surprisingly emotional and totally engaging. I can't wait to see this one!

@bcom - Apes is the perfect example of how to do a reboot.
