Plot details for Spider-Man 3 are still under wraps, but there are lots of theories doing the rounds, and based on what we do know (the return of Electro, Doc Ock, etc), Spidey is most definitely going to have his webs full in the Far From Home follow-up.
Can we add aliens to the list of things Peter Parker will be forced to contend with?
While speaking with Promising Young Woman star Carey Mulligan (via Variety), Zendaya appeared to drop a very interesting hint about the movie.
"These things go by so fast. We still have a lot left to do," said the MJ actress when providing an update on the currently shooting threequel. "It’s like running from aliens and things you can’t see. Part of that is kind of fun. A lot of what we do is escapism, just being able to play a teenager again."
Now, while Zendaya might simply have been refencing working with green screen/CGI in general, the fact that she mentioned aliens specifically has not gone unnoticed. The film is expected to delve into the Multiverse/Spider-Verse to at least some degree, so some kind of extra-terrestrial threat wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility.
The still untitled Spider-Man 3 will also feature Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Spider-Man 2 actor Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, and TASM 2's Jamie Foxx as Electro , along with returning cast members Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori and Marisa Tomei.
Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield (among others) are expected to return as their respective takes on Spidey, but that's yet to be made official.
