DEADLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN Writer And BLACK EYED PEAS Member Taboo On His New BLUE'S CLUES Adventure

Since Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas not only wrote Deadly Neighborhood Spider-Man but also made music for it, we had to sit down with him doing his rounds to promote Blue's Big City Adventure.

The newest Blue's Clues outing, Blue's Big City Adventure, has finally made its way to DVD. The film sees Josh follow his musical dreams with many heart-filled songs along the way, reuniting with both Steve and Joe, the previous hosts. One of the musicians that help Josh find his sound is none other than Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas.

Since Taboo is a big fan of inspiring children and has already written a comic series titled Deadly Neighborhood Spider-Man, joining the ensemble in the film was no stretch for him. Still, we had a few questions we wanted to ask about his experience so he took the time to sit down with us and break it down.

We've included a headshot of Taboo alongside a few quotes from our chat but you can view the full video interview directly below if you're interested.

Taboo: Blue's Clues has been a part of my family. I have four kids; my son Josh is 30, he grew up on Steve, my son Jaylen grew up around Joe, and now my daughter, who is seven, is growing up with Josh de la Cruz. And I met Josh and started a friendship with Josh at the Macy's Day Parade in 2019.

So when the opportunity presented itself to be a part of this movie, I was like, "To be in a movie with my best friend Josh? And it's part of my kids' upbringing. And it's Nickelodeon and Paramount? Let's go!"

They had amazing choreographers and music supervisor staff. She kind of guided me through the song. This is the first time that I've sung, because I'm not a singer, I'm a rapper. You know, Black Eyed Peas is a rap group. But, to be in a musical, being myself, and being with my good friend Josh, and just having a conversation like we would if we were not in a movie.

It was fun to see how Josh does it on a daily basis. Blue was not there, we had a stuffed animal. So Blue was busy, taking a potty break, so we had a stand-in. So Josh kind of guided that. It was cool, it was fun, and it kind of inspired me to do more in the kids' space. If I can create content not only for all kids, but for kids in the Latino Barrio and Indian Reservations, for my people, my grandmother did that for me, then that's what I want to do.

What do you guys think of these comments from Taboo? Check out the trailer for Blue's Big City Adventure below? We've also included an image from Deadly Neighborhood Spider-Man, which Taboo both wrote and created music for. Be sure to share your thoughts!

Wildest title I've read in a while, never thought I'd see a connection between Spider-Man, Blues Clues and Black Eyed Peas, but this is 2023 I guess
