DAREDEVIL Star Charlie Cox Plays Coy When Asked About Those Big SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Rumors

Charlie Cox played the Man Without Fear across three seasons of Daredevil, but are those rumours about a Spider-Man: No Way Home return correct? Well, the actor certainly doesn't seem to be denying it...

While it's never been reported by the trades, a lot of online scoopers seem confident in the chances of Charlie Cox showing up as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home. We've heard a lot about potential plans for Daredevil from there, though nothing is even close to being confirmed right now.

Marvel Studios would certainly earn a lot of goodwill from fans if they were to bring the Man Without Fear fully into the MCU, but what does Cox himself have to say on the matter?

During a recent interview, the actor was seemingly caught off-guard after being questioned about the sheer level of support he receives from fans on social media about a potential return as Daredevil. That led to him neither confirming nor denying those reports, but it's hard not to feel like he's hiding something here - why else would he say that fans should "wait and see"?

"You know, I also...it makes me...I wouldn't want to ruin something either way," Cox explains. "It makes me a little anxious in that regard. It's a difficult thing to talk about. All I would say is, I guess everyone, myself included, is just going to have to wait and see what happens."

That's quite the response, eh?

We will indeed have to wait and see how things pan out, but it's hard not to get excited about the prospect of Daredevil having a recurring presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward.

Best MCU show, if only Iron Fist had its level of quality and Daredevil’s original showrunner did give a pitch for Iron Fist, but they went with scott buck

@dracula - I heard about that. DeKnight had a great Iron Fist pitch. What could’ve been…

I started my rewatch of daredevil recently. Charlie Cox IS daredevil. What a great show.

If he ends up being in the movie, then I’m all for it. Even if he’s not, I think there’s enough fan outcry for his return that feige will take notice.

@thelastson18 - Yeah, and with Multiverse storyline, anything is in the realm of possibility.

Hell, I'd even be okay with Charlie Cox becoming the Daredevil in the MCU, but as a variant from another timeline that wasn't the Netflix timeline. I'm a huge DD fan, and like you said, Charlie Cox IS Matt Murdock. No one can do it better. There might be someone out there as good as him. But no one can do it better.

@CorndogBurglar -He is awesome. I really thought they had hired a real blind actor for the part. I was that convinced.

@thelastson18 - I woke up Saturday morning to my 6yr old son watching Daredevil with Ben Affleck. I told him we don’t watch that one, and turned on Netflix’s version…I forgot how violent that show was lol. I turned it off and told him when he’s older. Dad fail!

@ProudPatriot76 - Lol! I think I have a soft spot for the Ben affleck movie, but I can’t deny how terrible it is. 9 year old me went to the theater with my grandpa (who fell asleep) to see it and I thought it was the coolest thing ever

Did Cox actually rehearse his fight sequences?

If he is in the movie, it's most likely a cameo and he won't be in his DD costume. Still, it'd be great to see one of the Netflix characters make the jump to the movies.

All of the Daredevil actors need to be kept. I especially love the actress playing Karen.
