Spider-Man: No Way Home has already beaten Avengers: Endgame in terms of presale tickets, so even in the "pandemic era" we find ourselves in, this movie is going to be a box office hit. Inevitably, some will be waiting on reviews before deciding whether to check the threequel out this side of Christmas, and that's obviously where Rotten Tomatoes comes in.

Love it, hate it, or simply don't care, there's no denying that the review aggregator and those all-important Tomatometer scores remain crucial for blockbusters like this one. Studios use that "Certified Fresh" badge as a key part of marketing a movie, and many box office analysts believe Eternals would have performed better financially had it not slipped into that dreaded "Rotten" status.

Regardless, Spider-Man: No Way Home has got off to a strong start with a perfect 100% score based on 46 reviews. It goes without saying that more verdicts - including our own! - will be counted as the day goes on, and we're expecting a more definitive score to be revealed later in the week.

Spider-Man: Homecoming has a 92% score, Spider-Man: Far From Home landed 90% by the time all was said and done, while Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has a near-perfect 97%.

Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17 and in the UK on December 15.
