SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Fan-Made Poster Sees Doctor Strange Bring The Past Spider-Men Into The MCU

We're expecting to see more than just the one Spider-Man in No Way Home this December, and an amazing fan-made poster sees Doctor Strange bring the two previous live-action Peter Parkers into the MCU...

When Sony Pictures released the first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, we were anticipating a poster to accompany it. For whatever reason, that didn't happen, and we're left to wonder what that first official artwork will look like (could we end up seeing more than just the one web-slinger, for example?).

On this amazing fan-made effort, we see Doctor Strange searching the Multiverse and bringing some familiar Peter Parkers into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They are, of course, the versions Variants played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield; the former first suited up way back in 2002, while the latter - who, like Tom Holland, is English - replaced him in 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man.

While it's obviously hard to put together a poster like this one using only existing imagery, the effect works well, and this team-up really can't happen soon enough. Hopefully, rumours about a second trailer featuring the two other Spider-Men are correct, but we'll obviously have to wait and see.

"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero," reads the movie's synopsis. "When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man."

Spider-Man: No Way Home is currently set to be released exclusively in theaters on December 17, later this year, and stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Benedict Wong, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx (Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Rhys Ifans are said to be among the threequel's rumoured cast members).

I really think we're potentially setting ourselves up for dissappointment with hoping they might appear

@bkmeijer - my thinking is I feel they would outright make sure to do EVERYTHING to squash the rumor if it was fake, and outright say "no they aren't in this movie, we are do a different story and want to prepare your expectations properly. While that story would have been fun and amazing, we are doing a different approach we personally love and believe in.. but the previous 2 will not appear. What we are delivering is gonna be..." and so on.

I can't see them weighing the pros and cons of this play and deciding

@ElricReturns - I think they are going to be part of the final action scene and nothing more. People expecting them to be all over the movie, maybe even some wrapping-ups of the loose plot-threads from their respective franchises, are going to be disappointed big time.

@FinnishDude - I think as the plot progresses, more elements from the Raimiverse and Gardfield's universe will appear in the MCU. Holland's Spider-Man must stop the union between the three universes. So the Oscorp Tower will appear in the middle of New York, we will see Mr. Ditkovich and J Jonah Jameson from the Raimiverse.

Finally, "Spider-Maguire" and "Spider-Gardfield" will appear.

They should just use this poster and give that man a job. And when the "secrets" are "revealed" just put three circles and 3 spider-men in there

I usually don't crack on fan posters, because they're just trying their best and having fun with it.

But...

Why is this a main page article? I’ve seen some pretty good fan art for this upcoming movie and this one is ok compared to actual good fan art. To each there own.

So I have been really thinking about the trailer and we see that the movie is taking place sometime in October, possibly Halloween week. Wandavision had an episode take place on Halloween itself and the threshold and nexus event happened a day or two later. This aligns the multiverse breaking apart at the same time No Way Home begins and Loki and Wandavision end. I believe the Sanctum covered in snow is the ending of the film and there is a saying that goes "When Hell freezes over", Could Mephisto be the true villain of Into the Multiverse of Madness and could the ending of no way home be Mephisto casting the spell using the multiverse powers and Strange being trapped somewhere thanks to Mephisto?
