Even though it promises to have plenty of action, this summer’s Spider-Man 2 sequel is likely to show even more emotional intensity on the part of the main characters, according to director Sam Raimi.

Raimi told Associated Press via CTV that "I really turned the film inward on the characters, and it seems like that's what the audience responded to in the first film. So we focused on developing the characters to the next level, and the actors have taken the performances, all of them, up a notch."
