Spider-Man 5 Status Revealed By Sony Pictures CEO As He Celebrates Brand New Day's Success

@TheVisionary25 - Thanks! Hobgoblin has been around lately in the comics and his popularity was at all time high in the 90s animated series. (Just like Black Cat's was) Since we've already seen Green Goblin and the angle of a villain being whispered in the ear what to do and when to let the other evil persona take over I think now it'd be a good time to give MCU Peter his own goblin adversary that hasn't been done yet in live-action. Hobgoblin is IMO dangerous because he doesn't need an alt. personality to tell him what he's gotta do, he's sane and aware that he's harming people and creating chaos, all in the name of acquiring money and power.

They should pick up MJ with wherwhen Ned proposes get together with all their friends. There it'd be cool to show two things: Peter realizing that MJ's new boyfriend, Eman Esfandi's character, isn't so bad and is in fact a nice guy. Nothing "worse" than realizing that your ex's new bf is someone you cae they left and find a way to pick up that thread in a satisfing way. One way would be to make her feel comfortable to be around Peter n get along, but that means he's gotta start getting used more to the idea that they're not getting back as much as he wants it and bc he sees MJ is happy. Part of growing up.

The other one would be MJ having to deal as well with the fact that Peter isn't so-down-on-his-luck when he shares with them that the cat burglar isn't giving him so much trouble anymore and they're even allies of sorts while letting out some laughs and smiles when talking about Black Cat. That'd be enough to get a small spark of jealousy fromh her.

At the end of the day though it's also worth considering what could be Peter's mindset and mood when this movie starts since it'll be post-Secret Wars. He was doing his best to not think much on Tony after what happened in Endgame, but eventually had to grieve him before the climatic 3rd act with Mysterio. For me it's the same thing here going into Spider-Man 5: would he be in his best spirits or kind of so-so? It's hard to predict. And if I propose introducing Felicia here it'd be because he wouldn't really be in his most cheereful self, maybe he doesn't quip like always in fights. A silent/somber Spider-Man can be...off. Hence why Black Cat showing up would kickstart something in him, a fire that makes him act again like the friendly neighbour he is.

And since this is also post-Secret Wars I'm not sure if he'd return with the symbiote black suit. If so how much would he use it? Around where could it's toxic and possessive influence of it start to leak into him? How would it affect his relationship with everyone Ive mentioned so far until he has to get rid off it?

It's a lot to juggle to be honest. But that's where the fun lies for us fans to speculate for now.

Spider-man 6 would then be some combination of Kraven's Last Hunt and Marvel's Spider-man 2.

E.g. Kraven testing Spider-man to his limits while Eddie tries to dismantle Peter Parker's life and targets his loved ones.

Yeah, he'll be filming for Avengers: Secret Wars for most of 2027 so won't be able to film for 'Spider-man 5' until 2028 at the earliest.

Filming would last for around 5-6 months and then post-production after that filling out the rest of 2028.

At which point the current MCU film slots are: May 4, July 13, November 9, 2029.

My guess would be that Sony aim for either late July/August 2029 or December 2029
