As Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues to dominate the box office, only three films now stand between the Destin Daniel Cretton-directed blockbuster becoming the highest-grossing movie of all time.
According to the latest updates, Brand New Day has now taken in a massive $2.32 billion worldwide, officially sinking James Cameron's Titanic to emerge as the fourth highest-grossing film ever at the global box office.
Now only Avatar: The Way of Water ($2.33 billion), Avengers: Endgame ($2.79 billion), and the first Avatar ($2.92 billion) stand in Spidey's way.
Can Brand New Day climb to the top of the list? It's certainly possible, but ticket sales are sure to start slowing down as the movie heads into its fourth weekend in theaters. That said, analysts don't expect much in the way of competition from Coyote Vs. Acme, and even less from Ridley Scott's critically-panned The Dog Stars.
Brand New Day recently became the first solo superhero movie to reach $2 billion, and did so faster than any film in history - aside from Avengers: Endgame. Holland's fourth outing as the wall-crawler is also the highest-grossing comic book movie of the decade, and the highest-grossing Spider-Man movie ever made.
Something tells us Holland will be sticking around in that costume for a while longer!
