10. X-Men First Class- brought the franchise back to its former glory

9. Superman- one of the first CBMS and still one of the best

8. Batman(1989) Michael Keaton was great as Batman, Nicholson as the Joker was Phenomanal

7. The Amazing Spider-Man- I really enjoyed it. A good origin.

6. Captain America: the Winter Soldier: all out great movie

5. Guardians of the galaxy: funny, action packed. Awesome movie

4. Spider-Man(2002) A classic. Will be remembered forever. Tobey was a great Peter, the enviornments were great. Fantastic tone.

3. Spider-Man 2 (2004)- continued from #4, great tone. Captured the essance of Spidey perfectly.

1 The Dark Knight trilogy- i know this is cheating. I didn't want to scramble these all over the list.

Someone else likes First Class over Days of Future Past? Yay! I'm not alone!

MyNameIsKhan - 3/5/2015, 11:22 AM
@Wannabe I love DOFP by all means but First Class is my favorite X Men film.

And yet ANOTHER TDK Trilogy being number 1 on a top ten list. To all of you, yes it's cheating, it's 3 [frick]ing movies. If all three take up the first three spots then they just do, and if they scatter once reviewed on their own then that means they should be considered(in these list) as three separate films even more.

Ahahahaha! The Amazing Spider-Man 2 got an honorable mention? It belongs on the top ten worst comic book films list.
RextheKing
RextheKing - 3/5/2015, 11:48 AM
@ClumsyToaster While I agree that TASM2 wasn't all that great for an honorable mention, there are so many far worse CBMs that TASM2 shouldn't even come close to making the list.
ClumsyToaster
ClumsyToaster - 3/5/2015, 11:56 AM
@Rextheking Okay, I'll give you that. But the fact that it was somehow placed above a film like X-men first class really just baffles me.

@ClumsyToaster I think you may not know what an honorable mention is. Its, in this case, a film that doesn't quite make the list, but is good(or bad, depending on the list) enough to be mentioned. That means TASM2 is under X-Men FC, but I still get what you mean though.

good list but where is the original 300? that was awesome and blade the first one was amazing too.

@Rextheking Oh, no. I know what an honorable mention is. I was just linking the two TASM films together. I meant to say that the fact that TASM 1 was ranked above First Class. Sorry those TASM films just sort of blend into one giant shade of gross for me.

@ClumsyToaster Oh I get yah now and I agree, I liked FC much better than TASM as well, and TASM doesn't even make my top ten. It's much closer though than TASM2.

For the sake of it, here's my list:

1. Cap2
2. GoTG
3. Avengers
4. Iron Man
5. Spidey2(raimi)
6. Spidey
7. DoFP
8. FC
9. X2
10. Cap TFA

5-10 tend to change but ever since Cap2 and GoTG my top 4 stays concrete... I'm sure that'll change when AOU comes out though.

I feel like i am the only one who did not necessarily like Jack Nicholson as the joke. I cant really put my finger on why though. I felt this way before I saw the Dark Knight, and even more so afterwards. His performance was good, but something was missing.

1). Cap 2
2). Spider-Man 2
3). The Dark Knight (too much of how the heck did Joker know, or do that, etc..)
4). Guardians of the Galaxy
5). Batman Begins
6). DOFP
7). Iron Man
8). Avengers (If it was not the avengers the movie would stink)
9). Spider-Man
10). Blade

If people can combine all Nolans bat films into one for a top ten list, then does that mean Iron Man should be looked at the same way, or even the Avengers or Singer's X-Men trilogy?
ThunderKat
ThunderKat - 3/6/2015, 10:12 PM
1. You have three movies at the top. That pushes the bottom three out.

2. It doesn't make sense to have both modern Spider-Man films.

3. Hard to believe "The Avengers" can't crack the list.

4. "Blade" should at least be in your honorable mentions. It opened Hollywood eyes to comic books again, and vampires, and vampire hunters...
HOTSHOT
HOTSHOT - 3/7/2015, 1:16 AM
Cool list except...someone actually found Amazing Spider-Man better than the first Ironman movie.
Hush2010
Hush2010 - 3/7/2015, 6:48 AM
Batman Begins was a good/great movie. The Dark Knight was a masterpiece of superhero cinema but The Dark Knight Returns was from its title to its execution and portrayal of Batman, Talia and Robin was weak and phoned in. I feel as tho Nolan knew he had to finish the trilogy so he let his lil brother have the reigns and just supervised. That movie is ok at best to me
