 “Hollywood screenwriter and Eisner Award nominee Max Landis (Chronicle, American Ultra, ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN) joins forces with top comics artists including Jock, Francis Manapul and Jae Lee to bring you SUPERMAN: AMERICAN ALIEN, a 7-issue miniseries chronicling the life of Clark Kent and his development into the archetypal hero he will eventually become. But these are not the stories of the iconic “Superman” as you know him, but of the soft-spoken, charming, often-funny Kansas farm-boy behind the Man of Steel. With the tone of each issue ranging from heartwarming and simple, to frighteningly gritty and violent, to sexy, sun-kissed and funny, SUPERMAN: AMERICAN ALIEN is unlike anything you’ve seen before. Is that Jonathan Kent trying to help Clark as a kid find out how to fly and they're having fun doing so? Must... not...

Characters who are super powered should be more like Wolverine, who would jump out a plane with no parachute but not as extreme as say Deadpool. I will be checking this out.

This looks cool and all but didn't Smallville already do this?

I absolutely HATE Max Landis and think he's an over egotistical douche lord.
That said, I like the concept he's pitching in this series. Let's see if it's worth checking out.

@KryptonianBorn

The same shit everyday, haha

@spideymania26

Superman didn't know how fast he was, and he was younger in that scene, literally fighting and rebelling with his Dad before the tornado hit. He didn't even know that he could fly yet. He wasn't mature enough to become Superman or to handle the World

Pa Kent didn't know that he would get stuck in the car, he can't predict the future. He also couldn't predict how bad the Tornado would have gotten, that's how Tornado's work.

Perry White and Lois Lane, 2 highly educated people, that understand how the world and society works both agreed with Pa Kent about how the world would react to Superman

@spideymania26

Clark was too young to use his Powers and deal with the World that he was living in

What would happen if Superman didn't have Zod as an adversary to prove to the Government that he was on their side?

Remember when the Government was shooting and attacking both Superman and Faora in the Smallville fight, because they didn't trust either of them. The Government did not trust Superman or react well when they found out about him.

What would happen if the Government came after a younger Superman and Superman fought back to save himself or to save Ma Kent?

Do you think Clark would have seen Ma Kent again, after the Government started messing with him?

Whatever happened to Jerry Lawler's Superman project? Did the new52 costume change ruin its chance of being seen?

Jonathan Kent was an awful father in MOS. I'm glad Thor killed him.

It's not like Landis can sully the character any more than Goyer did.

@KryptonianBorn

Flashpoint! Right on man.

And, I can't wait for DC/WB start talking about a New Gods movie, that would be so Epic.

Just seeing how awesome Krypton was in MOS, New Genesis and Apokolips on screen would be amazing
