Despite the fact Henry Cavill has a lead role in the upcoming Mission: Impossible - Fallout opposite Tom Cruise, the Justice League's star's schedule moving forward remains almost empty. Now, Mario-Francisco Robles has weighed in on that and points out that it could be down to the fact the British actor is keeping his schedule clear to finally shoot Man of Steel 2 somewhere in the near future.
That seems to be a combination of insider information and speculation but he does note that Warner Bros. wants Cavill to be part of their presentation at Comic-Con next month and it seems strange Cavill would be there despite the fact he has no upcoming DC Comics movies to promote at the event.
It is, of course, possible that he'll introduce the Shazam! trailer (rumours continue running rampant that Superman will show up there) but fans will no doubt be hoping that a Man of Steel 2 announcement is imminent. Robles also says that Warner Bros. could be waiting to see how Fallout performs before moving forward with that but the demand for another Superman movie is clear.
With Comic-Con on the horizon, we should have a clearer picture of Cavill's future as the iconic superhero very soon. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts on this report in the usual place.
