POLL: Which Villain(s) Would You Like To See In A MAN OF STEEL Sequel?
It's still early days (especially as the chances of a DC Cinematic Universe rest squarely on the shoulders of Man of Steel's success), but who would you guys like to see Superman face off against in any future instalments once the origin story is out of the way with? Here's your chance to decide!
While Batman's rogue gallery tends to get a lot of attention over at DC Comics, Superman also has an awful lot of great enemies who deserve to be brought to life on the big screen (yes, we've seen many of them in Smallville, but the less said about the majority of them, the better...). General Zod will be the first to be re-imagined for a modern audience, and while we don't know what Easter eggs may be scattered throughout Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, it's unlikely that the focus will be on anyone else. Below is a list of arguably the most well-known and iconic villains, so be sure to cast your vote and tell us what direction you would most like to see the franchise take in the future. After all, the director has already teased plans for further instalments and it's hard to imagine the incredible looking reboot being anything other than a huge hit when it's released next month!
In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.
