RUMOR: The CW Is Reportedly In Talks On Making A Solo SUPERMAN TV Show Starring Tyler Hoechlin

Move over, Supergirl. It seems your cousin Superman may be getting his own spotlight. The CW may be trying to get a Superman TV show up and running.

Superman hasn't been given the right attention on the big screen. However, maybe the small screen could be an option. According to Fandomwire, the CW is in talks on greenlighting a Superman TV series right inside the Arrowverse.

Unfortunately, DC isn't focusing on making Superman movies with Henry Cavill. On the bright side, it could open up a lot of room for Tyler Hoechlin to star as the Man of Steel. He first appeared on Supergirl back in 2016 for a couple episodes. He's also supposed to reprise his role in the Arrowverse crossover Elseworlds. If things get cooking, we potentially could have a Superman and Supergirl TV shows on the same network, along with The Flash, Arrow, and Black Lightning

Who knows? Maybe a certain, special league could be on the horizon. Regarless, this should all be taken with a grain of salt as of now. There isn't anything solid or concrete at the moment. However, something like this in development is definitely exciting.

What are your thoughts on this? Would you watch a Superman TV show on the CW? Leave your thoughts down below.

How [frick]ing sad would it be if Tyler gets a show and KNOCKS IT OUT OF THE [frick]ING PARK.

@BlackBeltJones - Sad?...No... Funny and embarrassing for the DCEU.
Oh yeah...

@BlackBeltJones - so far he's the best live action Superman we've had since Reeve. I'd love to see him led a show.

@HeavyMetal4Life - not that it was hard for him. I mean, the guy is a great Superman, but when your competition is Deadbeat Dad-Man and Emo-Man you can only go up.

@Krav - I rewatched the entire series of Lois and Clark the New Adventures of Superman a few months ago, and they hold up. Its definitely campish and a product of it's time like every incarnation of Superman over the years, but it's still a great show that's fun to watch.

@Reeds2Much - this show need to get cancelled man .its so bad
Spidey91
Spidey91 - 10/17/2018, 6:50 PM
@Reeds2Much - Flash and Arrow have the same problem. all the villains are trying to conquer/destroy the world/history/time itself at the same time. I guess you shouldn't think about it too much. it's like the old MCU thing of "where was Captain America?" when the US president was kidnapped in IM3.
Supes lives in Metropolis, just keep the story contained there. make him go off planet every once in a while.

@Reeds2Much - It is a show based on a comic book......

@Spidey91 - "where was Captain America?" when the US president was kidnapped in IM3."

The same place all the cops, FBI, CIA agents were that you don't see on screen looking for the president.

@Ha1frican - I like to think it can't be that bad... But I've been wrong before.
ArthurFleck
ArthurFleck - 10/17/2018, 7:09 PM
@Ha1frican - Supergirl is no Breaking Bad, but I enjoy every CW show for what it is. But my opinion doesn't mean you have to agree, I can respect your opinion. I just like to point out there is a large chunk of people that dont feel it's outright bad like any say. Some things just aren't others cup of tea. I have no interest in watching the Vampire Diaries, I dont vibe with the tone of content, but I dont wish it cancelled or call it terrible just because i personally dont like it.

Oh lord, I can’t believe that thanks to WB we will have to conform with a Superman tv show. What a shame.
FishyZombie
FishyZombie - 10/17/2018, 7:00 PM
@mistral1 - What’s there not to believe? There have been a bunch of Superman tv show’s already. Not that any of them are perfect, but still. And we haven’t had a well liked Superman movie since 1980.
