SDCC: Brainiac returning to Smallville for 200th Episode

James Marsters, Sci Fi veteran actor, has announced during the Caprica panel at San Diego Comic Con revealed that he is returning to Smallville for its landmark 200th episode.

James Marsters confirmed that he will return to the long running super hero show portraying Superman before he becomes the iconic hero.

Whilst at a panel during Comic Con for the show Caprica, Marsters revealed he will be returning as Brainiac in the show's final season scheduled to be Episode 4 of Season 10. It follows the shows final season tradition of bringing back past characters from previous seasons.

Editor Note:For me this is a smart move. Brainiac is Clark's ultimate super villain, there is nobody that can match Brainiac's intelligence, power and control over everybody. I can't wait to see the storyline since the last remaining part of Brainiac was taken to the 31st century by the Legion of Super-Heroes to be reprogrammed.

SWEET!! I liked Marsters as Brainiac! He was refreshing after so much Lex Luthor. Not saying I don't LOVE Lex Luthor. Lex's return is the announcement I'm waiting for..

I'm with you 100% Instigator. His portrayal as Brainiac was epic. Also give me Michael Rosenbaum as Lex for an exciting as hell Comic Con announcement.

Side note: Supernatural also rules.

He was a great Brainiac so it'll be interesting to see what they do with the character this time around! Now all we need is Michael Rosenbaum back as Lex Luthor and Clark finally in costume... :P

I was just thinking Brainiac might not be a villain this time if the Legion took him back to be reprogrammed. What do you guys think?

Smallville needs to stop being so damn cheap with the characters dammit. Marsters though a wonderful actor, is a horrible Brainiac for the simple reason he DOES NOT resemble the comic book Brainiac. I want him as either a green-skinned alien scientist (as he was originally conceived in the old Superman comics) or have him as an android. I'm sick of his human portrayal.

@InstigatorGIRL I was thinking the same thing, he should come back from the future but has a good Brainiac! I bet you, because if he's only back for 1 episode, Clark cant kill him again!

this final season is going to be like a giant recap of the first 9 seasons.

we're gonna see all the villains and most likely all the people who died at some point or another.

over the top is all smallville has left.
