I do hope they have Zatanna put a spell on them to disguise Clark. I never liked that people couldn't tell it was Superman because of a pair of glasses.

The fact that clark is getting the glasses in the last season is ridiculous.

Superman1991, I couldn't agree more. Since last season I've been stating that even without the costume, he's Superman. There are so many moments when he screams the character and although it would never happen, I'd love to see him make the leap to the big screen. Timing couldn't be better, of course, with Smallville ending and Man of Steel gearing up. But I'm reasonably sure they'll want to go in a whole new direction, which means no Rough either (who I thought did a really good job as the character).

@EdGross. Agree timing could not be better. Finish Smallville and get the real Superman do his thing. Tom Welling has to do so.

I agree, that while it's not probably it is ideal for Tom Welling to Play Superman on the Big Screen. I say Tom Welling all the way. TW4S

Truthfully, if all of the pieces are in place when Smallville ends -- no matter how divergent the show has gone from mythology over the years -- there's no reason you couldn't take Welling and Erica's Durance as Lois and transfer them to the big screen. But all the wishing in the world doesn't matter -- I really think they are going to move as far away from what's come before as they can.

Anyone who thinks Welling is Superman really has no grasp on the character at all.Movie, comicbook or otherwise!

@Spartan76 i'm with you on that one. plus, Smallville is more of an Elseworlds Superman than the real Superman. And, welling can't act!

Frankly rbfn04 that's a silly statement because all forms of the Superman story are Elseworlds. Donner's movie was an Elseworld. The George Reeves TV series was an Elseworld. Most of the comic book runs were made Elseworlds due to various reboots, Crisis, and retcons. Calling Smallville another Elseworld is statement that has no meaning. Everything is an Elseworld.
