SUPERMAN Trailer Sees The Man Of Steel Face Lex Luthor, The Engineer, With The Justice Gang In Action

The powerful full trailer for Superman has been released, and it sees the Man of Tomorrow forced to answer for stopping a war, all while contending with Lex Luthor, The Engineer, and his fellow heroes.

The first full trailer for Superman has finally been released, and it's guaranteed to give you chills (and you will believe a man can fly).

In the sneak peek, things get heated between Clark Kent and Lois Lane when she questions his actions as the Man of Steel; it turns out that his decision to intervene and stop a war didn't have the intended consequences.

Beyond that, this latest preview doesn't reveal too much about what's to come in the movie. There are plenty of intriguing hints, though, and some phenomenal visuals, including a new look at Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, and Mr. Terrific in action.

We also get to see what The Engineer is capable of as she lets loose in the Fortress of Solitude. Ultraman, meanwhile, is shown sparingly and seemingly being kept largely under wraps by James Gunn for now. Lex Luthor looks positively unhinged, though, and is clearly out to destroy the Kryptonian.

The visual effects are first-rate (which hasn't always been the case for Warner Bros.' DC Comics adaptations), and there are some intriguing shots of both Metamorpho and that mysterious orb in the sky.

While this Superman trailer gives the supporting cast a chance to shine, it also highlights what David Corenswet is bringing to the table as Clark Kent and Kal-El. So far, it seems the Twisters star was perfectly cast in the role by Gunn.

Check out the new trailer for Superman in the players below.

Superman, DC Studios' first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures.

In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.

The movie stars David Corenswet in the dual role of Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.

Also appearing are Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Neva Howell, and Milly Alcock.

Superman arrives in theaters on July 11, 2025.

I suspect James Gunn sat down with the execs at Warner Bros and pitched what seemed like 20+ ideas for a Superman film and they patted him on the back and said, “We’re sure you’ll pick the right one.”, not realizing that he just outlined his whole script. 😞

P.S.: John Williams music is doing 90% of the heavy lifting in this trailer.

@JurassicClunge - Do you also get the feeling that this was 100% written for Chris Pratt to play the titular character and when the studio said “absolutely fuсking not”, Gunn didn’t change a thing?

Was Gunn's Superman supposed to be played by Chris pratt? because he's acting like Chris Pratt, where's the stoicism? . Also the camera work is awkwar a hell to the point where it's just nauseating to watch.

@HashTagSwagg - mald and seethe, snyderbot. This is the most like Superman the character has looked in live action since the 90s. The costume has all of the right parts and colors. Gunn did a great job!

@RockReigns - snyder made some of the most insulting trash I've ever see. I honestly believe if you purposely set out to make a terrible superman and batman it still wouldn't be worse than snyders works.
