While talking at a recent presentation at the Global Consumer Conference 2015, Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner, according to TFW2005, revealed that a Bumblebee spinoff film could possibly be added into the Transformers Cinematic Universe. “Many of you know Bumblebee; the yellow Camaro… formally known as a yellow VW Bug and he is a beloved character by kids all over the world.” He then continued, “We could see stories told around Bumblebee and other characters. We are in a process of building the brand equity around the Comic Book Business, our TV Business, our Digital Gaming Business and adding to that our new movie business of Transformers.”

Even though he
didn’t quite confirm that we’re getting a Bumblebee spinoff, the chances that the yellow Camaro gets his own film is quite likely. Yesterday they welcomed Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari into the writers room, as it was rumored that they would be working on a spinoff prequel film based on Cybertron. What else could Paramount and the writers have for this Transformers Cinematic Universe (or TCU)? Who knows? But Brian Goldner’s definitely confident, especially after the release, and the success of the first four films. “Last year was Transformers 4. It was quite a good success for us last year. We've begun to work with writers and we are now developing the Transformers [Cinematic] Universe beyond the first four movies."

Bumblebee in the first three films was known to protect Sam Witwicky and have a broken voice box (that was damaged during a battle with the Decepticons). If they did decide to move forward with this Bumblebee spinoff film, would you be interested in seeing it? Nevertheless, Transformers 5 is still set to hit theaters in 2017. Sound off below in the comment section with your thoughts!
