While talking at a recent presentation at the Global Consumer Conference 2015, Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner, according to TFW2005, revealed that a Bumblebee spinoff film could possibly be added into the Transformers Cinematic Universe. “Many of you know Bumblebee; the yellow Camaro… formally known as a yellow VW Bug and he is a beloved character by kids all over the world.” He then continued, “We could see stories told around Bumblebee and other characters. We are in a process of building the brand equity around the Comic Book Business, our TV Business, our Digital Gaming Business and adding to that our new movie business of Transformers.”

Even though he
didn’t quite confirm that we’re getting a Bumblebee spinoff, the chances that the yellow Camaro gets his own film is quite likely. Yesterday they welcomed Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari into the writers room, as it was rumored that they would be working on a spinoff prequel film based on Cybertron. What else could Paramount and the writers have for this Transformers Cinematic Universe (or TCU)? Who knows? But Brian Goldner’s definitely confident, especially after the release, and the success of the first four films. “Last year was Transformers 4. It was quite a good success for us last year. We've begun to work with writers and we are now developing the Transformers [Cinematic] Universe beyond the first four movies."

Bumblebee in the first three films was known to protect Sam Witwicky and have a broken voice box (that was damaged during a battle with the Decepticons). If they did decide to move forward with this Bumblebee spinoff film, would you be interested in seeing it? Nevertheless, Transformers 5 is still set to hit theaters in 2017. I think Paramount is happy that these Transformers movies make over a billion $ for them. But man the profit might go down if they pursue this "Transformers Cinematic Universe"
-_____-.
Don't push your luck too hard Paramount. Transformers (for whichever incarnation) isn't the type of franchise to be built like Marvel and DC.

Transformers is one of those properties that will be extremely hard to do without the "Human element". A Cybertron movie might be better off as a cartoon.

I'm a big Orginal 80's Transformers fan BUT they want to make a movie about Bumblebee what the [frick]. It's like giving a spinoff solo movie for Chewbacca you still can't understand shit.
Bee all he does in the movies is spew radio nonsense to communicate. You'd figure after 4 movies they'd have fixed his voice box.

Just saying.

Yea,foolish audiences have been making this franchise big money despite its pure dogshit.
Want to keep making money & really deliver a good Transformer movie?

Make them look like the Generation One robots but tweaked with slightly cool upgrades, given current CG it would look great & not like huge metal trash piles. Add a good script for once & roll out!
Dump Bay as director & cut all ties with that TV commercial director,he's not a quality film director at all.

i'm gonna quote myself now

"In new Mad Max there is a great scene where the truck is slowly falling spart in slow mo. You can see evey part of the truck. Guess what ... That's how Transformers should transform"

But Bumblebee sucks, he's boring.

This is a bad idea. I like Bumblebee as a character but a standalone Bumblebee film just wouldn't work. He needs to be in a TRANSFORMERS movie, interacting with other Transformers. He works best as a supporting character. The only Transformer that I think would work with a standalone film is Optimus Prime (maybe due a prequel that shows the beginning of his rivalry with Megatron).

This is a blatant attempt at a quick cash grab. Let me guess: next, they're going to try a Transformers Cinematic Universe with standalone character movies just so they can crossover, even though they should all be in the same movie to begin with...
