Lindsey Beer & Christina Hodson Added To The TRANSFORMERS Writing Room
Michael Bay has added Christina Hodson and Lindsey Beer in the "brain trust of writers" who will work on all of the spinoff films in the Transformers cinematic universe (TCU)! Hit the jump for more...
A little less than a week ago, it was announced that Ant-Man writers Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari have joined the Transformers writers' room. Now, Deadline is reporting that Paramount Pictures and Michael Bay have now welcomed Christina Hodson and Lindsey Beer into the TCU writers' room, in hope to receive some awesome new ideas from the pair. With the addition of those two, they are the first two female screenwriters to enter the Transformers Cinematic Universe writing crew.
Christina Hodson’s most recent project was to write a new version of The Fugitive for Warner Bros. and she previously wrote a script for The Eden Project. That script was obviously good, because Sony Pictures eventually bought it for company material! As for Lindsey Beer, she has written a live-action Disney adventure film titled, Dig, and is currently working on a re-imagined version of The Wizard Of Oz.
Along with Ant-Man writers, Christina Hodson and Lindsey Beer will join Zak Penn, Art Marcum & Matt Holloway, Jeff Pinker, Akiva Goldsman, and Robert Kirkman! No official spinoffs have been announced as of yet, but we do know that we could possibly get a sequel spinoff based on Cybertron, and a Bumblebee focused film (according to Hasbro CEO). How do you feel about Hodson and Beer being added to the TCU group? Also, what do you think they’ll bring to this new universe? Sound off below with your thoughts!
