Machinima And Hasbro Reveal First Look At TRANSFORMERS: COMBINER WARS

Hasbro and Machinima will release the animated Transformers: Combiner Wars on August 02 on go90. A 4-part prequel series will also be streamed beginning June 28 on YouTube, Facebook and go90.

You guessed it. The above image is indeed popular Decepticon and perpetual Megatron back-stabber, Starscream.  What role will he play in the new animated series, Transformers: Combiner Wars? That's still a mystery but we're certainly excited to find out. The new series will kick off with a 4-part prequel which will stream on YouTube, Facebook and go90 beginning 06/28.  The main series will then be streamed exclusively at go90 starting on August 02.

Combiner Wars? Don't know what that means but it seems like a not-very-catchy name for an animated series. The animation looks nice though.

@TheManWithoutFear - Combiners are characters that all link together to make one big character....like the Constructicons combining to make Devastator. Menasor, who is pictured up top is another one. You can expect the story to be based heavily around all of those types of characters.

I mourn the Transformers Prime? series that was on tv 3 or 4 years ago. That was more entertaining and had a harder edge than any of the movies and these follow on cartoons. It was my must see show with my son.

@Notgodgrodd - It is without a doubt the best transformers tv series they have ever made. The story was anything but childish and they did it so well.

@RaxusPrime - Nonsense. G1 is the best Transformers TV series ever made. No one will be talking about, making statues, making games, making comics, selling toys, or making games of Prime 20 years from now. Beast Wars is 2nd place. Prime is 3rd at best.

@Luminus - G1 is the most nonsensical bullshit of all time. So many continuity errors. Prime on the other hand was serious with fun mixed in. Directed at kids, but definitely felt like an adult show.
