Though the movies do have their share of defenders, it's probably fair to say that the Transformers franchise wasn't exactly the most well-regarded - at least, not prior to the release of Bumblebee.
The 2018 adventure received positive reviews and served as a relaunch of sorts, even though it didn't particularly contradict anything that happened in the previous instalments.
With director Steven Caple Jr. (Creed II; The Land) on board, Paramount Pictures will be hoping Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will be able to continue down that path of success (not that the previous movies ever flopped at the box office).
We've seen some merchandise art of these guys in robot form, but some new promo art has now been shared online (via SFFGazette.com), giving us a first look at the "Beast modes" of Maximals Optimus Primal, Cheetor, Rhinox, and Airazor.
Still no sign of a trailer, but there's a lot of speculation that a first look could screen in front of Avatar: The Way of Water next month.
Rise of the Beasts will star Anthony Ramos (In the Heights; Hamilton), Dominique Fishback (The Deuce; Judas and the Black Messiah), Luna Lauren Vélez (Dexter; Ugly Betty), and Tobe Nwigwe, with Peter Cullen (Transformers; The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh) set to return as the voice of Optimus Prime and Ron Perlman (Hellboy; Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) as the voice of Optimus Primal.
The next Transformers movie is set to hit theaters on June 9, 2023.
