So just to put a little more "meat on the bone" with these releases: TFs is going to be celebrating it's 40th anniversary next year, so expect more of these 40th anniversary releases. In the case of Soundwave and Blaster, they are the G! toys in official 40th anniversary packaging with decos that look like the cartoons.

In the case of Preceptor, he part of the Walmart GI "Tf:TM" "capsule" (that's Hasbro's term for exclusive lines) which so far has released cartoon-accurate decos of the OG G1 figs from the '86 movie, including the 3 Seekers (Starscream, Skyward, and Thundercracker), Hound, Hotrod, Shrapnel, Kickback, and now Preceptor. If you're a fan of the original movie (like myself) these are pretty attractive at normal prices for TFs these days (plus the Insecticons all come with energy cubes to bring them up to the price point of current deluxe TFs).

Right now I don't know how many more of these two lines Walmart is planning on doing, but I do know that they are going to be launching a third capsule called "Star Seekers" along with the third part of the current "TF:Legacy" line called "TF:Legacy United" which will launch next year. That Walmart capsule will focus on the Star Seekers pirates-type of characters from the TF lore headed by Thundertron (who is going to be part of that series).

So basically a lot of TF goodness coming from Hasbro, Walmart, and Target (with their "Buzzworthy" series) over the next year for TF fans.

Dear God, they’re beautiful 🥺 Even if they’re not metal like the OGs.

Flashback to my childhood 👦🏼 I had Soundwave and my mates had Blaster and Perceptor. Man, I might be 44 but I think I’m gonna [frick]in buy one!!!
