Amazon Prime Video has released the official final trailer for Chris McKay's upcoming sci-fi actioner The Tomorrow War, which stars Chris Pratt (Jurassic World: Dominion; Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) in the lead role as an ordinary family man named Dan Forester who gets drafted by soldiers from the future to fight an extinction-level war against a deadly alien species.

After being teased in the previous trailers, this new look drops the veil and finally reveals the aliens in their terrifying, monstrous, flying glory, which means that Forester and his fellow recruits are really going to have their work cut out for them when they arrive in 2051.

Luckily, they'll be aided in their mission by a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski), who may have a lead on ensuring humanity's survival, but it looks like saving the past is going to be a lot easier said than done.

The cast also features J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man trilogy; Spider-Man: No Way Home), Betty Gilpin (GLOWThe Hunt), Sam Richardson (VeepDetroiters), Edwin Hodge (The PurgeMayans M.C.), Jasmine Mathews (The Rookie; Sweetbitter), Ryan Kiera Armstrong (Black Widow; It Chapter Two), Keith Powers (Before I Fall; Straight Outta Compton), Seychelle Gabriel (The Last AirbenderThe Legend of Korra), Mike Mitchell (Brooklyn Nine-NineLove), and Mary Lynn Rajskub (24; It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia).

The Tomorrow War arrives, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, on July 2.

In The Tomorrow War, the world is stunned when a group of time travelers arrive from the year 2051 to deliver an urgent message: Thirty years in the future mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight. Among those recruited is high school teacher and family man Dan Forester (Chris Pratt). Determined to save the world for his young daughter, Dan teams up with a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski) and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) in a desperate quest to rewrite the fate of the planet.

Still cannot believe Katherine Schwarzenegger left me for Chris Pratt.

I don't think she liked it when I kept calling her "Arnie" in bed

I've got a group of friends that I watch bad movies with. We're watching this on July 6th.

I don't know for a fact that it will be a bad movie, but it feels like it might be bad. The trailers bring up so many questions that I don't know if the movie will answer.

@Waddles I like your twist and I'll do you one better - the future people are actually working with the aliens to soften up Earth for the invasion.

This trailer is the best one yet. I will give it a try because it does look fun, but I do hope it answers some of the questions I have (like why people from Pratt's character's generation, do they know the aliens' endgame for sure, and obviously how does the time-travel work)

This looks like a psuedo sequel to Battle LA, which i actually kind of enjoyed. This looks like something to have on in the background. Yvonne gets my attention though

Off topic: Anyone know what the budget was for Whalberg's movie Infinite? Can't find it anywhere. Want to know how much was wasted on that turd.
