Prime Video has shared first-look images from their upcoming action-thriller series The Terminal List, which stars Chris Pratt (Jurassic World: DominionGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) as Commander James Reece, and it seems like a full-length trailer launch could be right around the corner.

The series is based on Jack Carr's best-selling novel of the same name and will debut with its eight-episode freshman season on July 1.

The Terminal List will pick up shortly after Reece's entire Navy SEALs platoon is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. Upon returning home to his family, his conflicting memories of the event begin to raise questions about his culpability. However, as new evidence surfaces, he quickly discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life but the lives of those he loves.

In addition to Pratt, series regulars include Taylor Kitsch as Ben Edwards, Constance Wu as Katie Buranek, Jeanne Tripplehorn as Lorraine Hartley, Riley Keough as Lauren Reece, Patrick Schwarzenegger as Donny Mitchell, and Arlo Mertz as Lucy Reece.

The recurring cast consists of LaMonica Garrett as Commander Fox, Alexis Louder as Nicole Deptul, Tom Amandes as Vic, JD Pardo as Tony Liddel, Christina Vidal Mitchell as Mac Wilson, Jared Shaw as Ernest "Boozer" Vickers, Catherine Dyer as Rachel Campbell, Remi Adeleke as Terrell "Tee" Daniels, Jai Courtney as Steven Horn, Hiram A. Murray as Jackson, and Matthew Rauch as Captain Howard.

Based on the best-selling novel by Jack Carr, The Terminal List follows James Reece (Chris Pratt) after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. Reece returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. However, as new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life, but the lives of those he loves.

First it was Chris Helmsworth, more recently Chris Evans and now Chris Pratt who have migrated from CBM's to gun toting action stars.

Patrick Schwarzenegger is in this? You can never convince me there is no nepotism in Hollywood.

@GhostDog - I really enjoyed Jack Ryan and Reacher, so I'm gonna give this a chance as well. Part of me even hopes they're all taking place in the same universe

@bkmeijer1 - I liked Ryan season 1 a lot and 2 was solid. I loved Reacher. As crazy as it sounds I wouldn’t mind those two being in the same universe

I like to see new action IPs, even if adaptations from books. It's a good thing.

@Fogs - same. There are so many great novels in that genre out there, so enough to adapt

I wasn't really interested in this when I read it was a movie, but as a show I think it could work. If it's anything like Jack Ryan or Reacher, I'm in

Always happy to see Taylor Kitsch in something. I'd be more excited if this were a movie, but I am interested in seeing Pratt play a no-nonsense serious character.
